“Big Brothers” and “Big Sisters” are needed to mentor at-risk elementary students (grades 3,4, & 5) in a structured program in local elementary schools. There are locations available throughout Palm Beach Country at selected schools. Volunteers will have to attend one traininng session. A weekly commitment of 1 1/2 hour meetings is required.

Boca Helping Hands provides bags of groceries from its food pantry and hot meals on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. In addition it provides more than 1000 sandwiches and snacks a week for the children in low-income, after-school, child-care facilities in the area. Shut-in meals are also provided. We welcome teen (16+) volunteers. The center is a wonderful place for students to volunteer because of its friendly and caring atmosphere.

TeenAge Volunteer (TAV). Students are needed to volunteer in many departments throughout the hospital. Duties include transporting patients, delivering flowers and messages to patients, running errands, delivering medical records to the emergency room, and attending the nurses’ station and the information desk.

CAREing Foundation
The CAREing Foundation is a drug and alchohol prevention program using arts as the vehicle. There is a need for teens to volunteer approximately one day a week as: -Volunteer Site Artist Mentors to work with the artist once a week at sites around Palm Beach County.
