Typically, teen volunteers provide service in many areas, including the information desk, gift shop, sibling Clubhouse, clinic waiting rooms, Close to Home centers, and in office settings. Most assignments will be supporting families, patients, and staff. Teens continuing in the Nationwide Children's volunteer program will have the opportunity to train on patient units. Teens must be 14 and in high school by Septermber 1st. Typically, teen volunteers provide service in many areas, including the information desk, gift shop, sibling Clubhouse, clinic waiting rooms, Close to Home centers, and in office settings. Most assignments will be supporting families, patients, and staff. Teens continuing in the Nationwide Children's volunteer program will have the opportunity to train on patient units. Assignments will be same day/same time each week, typically 2-3 hours.

“Big Brothers” and “Big Sisters” are needed to mentor at-risk elementary students (grades 3,4, & 5) in a structured program in local elementary schools. There are locations available throughout Palm Beach Country at selected schools. Volunteers will have to attend one traininng session. A weekly commitment of 1 1/2 hour meetings is required.

Operation Smile is a private, not-for-profit volunteer medical services organization providing reconstructive surgery and related health care to indigent children and young adults in developing countries and the United States. Operation Smile provides education and training around the world to physicians and other health professionals to achieve long-term self-sufficiency. Student associations are being established worldwide, and are truly creating miracles for children through education, leadership, and service. Currently, there are over 250 clubs in middle schools, high schools, universities, and medical schools. These clubs are responsible for raising awareness and funds in support of the mission of Operation Smile. Join this never-ending challenge to take care of the world's disfigured children. The Ocean Watch Foundation is a grass roots volunteer organization involved in marine conservation and educational projects to preserve the local coral reef environment. We need volunteers for the following tasks: Beach cleaner; advertising, fundraising, operations, pr;, Annual Reef Sweep and Beach Clean-up.
